Subluxation

Subluxation is a funny sounding word. But removal of subluxations is vitally important to the health of every human being. Subluxations can occur in any joint of the body, but are especially harmful when they occur in the spine because of their negative influence on the spinal nerves. These nerves exit from the spine and serve the organs and other tissues of the body.

Basically, a subluxation causes a fixation of the joint limiting flexibility and mobility resulting in painful inflammation of the joint structures and nerves. Left untreated, these subluxations will result in degenerative joint disease and disc degeneration. If the condition advances too far, treatment will only give temporary relief. That's why it's so important to treat these conditions as soon as possible after an injury.

Therapeutic Laser Treatment

Dr. Eyre at Vineyard Chiropractic uses therapeutic laser treatment to reduce pain and accelerate the healing process. Therapeutic laser treatment helps eliminate symptoms such as swelling and spasms that often accompany both chronic and acute conditions.

Therapeutic Exercise

Therapeutic exercises are often used at the appropriate time to help strengthen and stabilize an injured area. Dr. Eyre, at Vineyard Chiropractic in Santa Rosa, CA, will be happy to give you more information.

Custom Foot Orthotics (Foot Supports)

Most people don't realize how important the feet are not only the the ankles, knees and hips, but also to the spine. Foot orthotics can make a significant difference in the healing time of the spinal condition, reducing severity of symptoms and speeding recovery by helping to stabilize the spine. Some chiropractic patients find that custom foot orthotics relieve a number of symptoms. This is because orthotics help to stabilize the spine. Ask your chiropractor if custom foot orthotics could help you!

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is an excellent therapeutic tool to reduce both pain and swelling and to speed recovery. Dr. Eyre at Vineyard Chiropractic utilizes ultrasound when indicated.

Diathermy

Dr. Eyre uses diathermy to help ease your pain. This therapy is a soothing, deep heat that relieves muscle tension and may help ease muscle spasms. It is also helpful in relieving respiratory congestion.

Spinal Decompression

A relatively new treatment, Spinal Decompression therapy has become an advanced, nonsurgical tool in treating neck and arm pain, back and leg pain associated with bulging or herniated spinal discs or degenerative joint disease . Unlike the usual treatments including drugs, painful physical therapy or surgery, Spinal Decompression treatments at Vineyard Chiropractic is a noninvasive treatment designed to relieve the debilitating pain and helps heal the involved discs.

Spinal Decompression therapy has been proven effective in treating a wide variety of conditions, including sciatica, arm pain and numbness, herniated discs and degenerative joint disease.
